MISSION: The primary goal of the Teacher Cadet program is to encourage students who possess exemplary interpersonal, academic and leaderships skills to consider teaching as a career. An important secondary goal is to provide these talented future community leaders with insights about teaching and schools so that they will be civic advocates for education.

- To attract talented young people into the teaching profession
- To provide high school juniors and seniors insight into the nature of teaching and the critical issues facing education in America today
- To provide students with a guided classroom internship
- To strengthen a career pathway in teacher education that links high schools, college teacher education programs and the classroom

- College credit available at select teacher education programs
- Teacher training required to license & implement the program
- Schools can select the most qualified, dynamic teacher to teach TC
- Colorado TC sponsored and funded through Colo. Community College System (CCCS) Career & Technical Education
- Teacher Cadet is a licensed curriculum from the South Carolina Center for Education Recruitment, Retention and Advancement (CERRA)
